HM-2577 is most widely used in moisture-proof insulation coating sealant, after curing it becomes into persistent coating to separate moisture and atmospheric pollutants, suitable for application in thick film circuit system, porous base material and printing circuit board coating

HOW TO USE

 

1)      Surface treatment

 

In order to obtain the best bonding effect, before applying should clean and dry surface of base. In most cases, HM - 2577 and clean base are good cohesiveness, if need to improve the cohesiveness, recommend to apply with my company related primer liquid.

 

2) Operation method

 

HM - 2577 can be spraying, dip-coating, with brush or flow coating. For a small amount of spraying, can use manual spray gun, dilute the product to 40%with toluene or xylene. Used for automatic spraying system, usable toluene or xylene diluted to 50% curing quantity. After diluted products should be finished application within 7 days. Dip-coating once thickness is commonly 0.1-0.2 mm. After diluting products with toluene or xylene, the coating will become thinner; suggest dip-coating speed is about 30 cm/min.

 

Curing

HM - 2577 can be curing at room temperature, also can be curing at 75 - 100 during heating. Under previous circumstances, use our catalyst can improve the curing rate.

 

1) Room temperature curing - without catalyst

HM-2577 can react under room temperature with vapor, tack-free time will be 20-25 mins for thickness 0.1mm coating, completely curing need 72 h. Advise curing at 23 and at least 50% relative humidity, improve the temperature and humidity can shorten curing time.

 

2) Thermal curing - without catalyst

After heating tack-free time can be reduced. Should leave enough time to let solvent volatilize before air flow and temperature raised. Generally 0.1 mm thickness coating need at room temperature volatile 10 min, and curing at 80 for 10 min. If have some bubble or defects such as fish eye before temperature rising, should leave some time to let solvent volatilize.

 

Because HM - 2577 contact with vapor in the air, it will be curing, so thicker coating take longer time for curing. If before completely curing, coating exposed to low temperature, cracking phenomena may occur. For low temperature experiment or transporting under cold circumstance, Circuit board coated with HM-2577, should be curing at 80 for 10 min, and at room temperature keep static at least six hours. If curing at 80 for long time, time for room temperature storage to prevent any crack in cold circumstance should be reduced. If circuit board coated with HM - 2577 and not curing at 80 for 10 min, before shipped to cold circumstance, should be stored at room temperature for 48 h.

      

3) Curing - add catalyst

For thick film (dry film thickness more than 0.25 mm), add our catalyst can reduce tack-free time. For example, in 23 and 60% relative humidity, without catalyst, dry film thickness of 0.4 mm, its tack free time will be about 70 min; Add our catalyst, under same temperature and humidity, tack-free time reduce to 40 min.

Use our catalyst can improve anti solvent properties, but will reduce the shelf life, mixture of HM - 2577 and our catalyst at room temperature, shelf life is about 1 week. Suggested ratio for HM-2577 and catalyst is 100:0.5 .Also needs to leave enough time to let solvent volatilize when the temperature is rising.

 

Applicable period, shelf life and validity

In order to extend the shelf life, during the operation process must be isolated from water vapor. Using dip-coating way, if don’t use temporary should seal it; If don’t use during a few days, should add a layer of toluene or xylene on top, in case of water vapor sneak into the materials; If surface crust, should get rid of it before applying.

 

Please ensure that unfilled HM - 2577 coating liquid bottle should fill with dry CO2 or N2 to protect. With reactive alcohol solvent for dilution or dilution agent mixed with water will reduce storage period of coated liquid.

 

Below 25 and stay unopened, has 36 months of shelf life since the date of production.

If add our catalyst, under 23 the applicable period is about 5 to 8 days.
